Can I use numbing products?

No. Please do not apply any numbing cream or ointments as this makes skin much harder to work on for the tattooer. This ends up prolonging the tattoo process in two ways :

  1. skin becomes difficult and rubbery to tattoo, it does not hold the stencil well due to ingredients in the product , skin will not react how it normally should, and in many cases is red and irritated before even starting the tattoo

  2. There is no telling how long the numbing agent will last for each person. It can last anywhere from 30 min to 2 hrs. When the numbing agent wears off, all the pain kicks in at once, resulting in the client being at their threshold and having to stop the appointment. Sunny works in 6 hour increments so numbing cream ends up being detrimental to both her time and the clients. Clients are required to pay the full day rate whether they last the 6 hours or less.

In rare cases will sunny allow use of a numbing cream. This will be discussed if she sees it fit for your appointment. Sunny does use tattoo products with lidocaine throughout the appointment to help with the pain.

What are your rates/What forms of payment do you accept?

Sunny books flat rate appointments : Day Rate 6 hour ($1200.00), Final session appointment 3 hour ($500.00). I offer a 20% discount to all military, please bring ID for proof. Currently accepting Cash and Debit/Credit.

How much is a sleeve?

There is no set answer to this question unfortunately! Everyone’s anatomy/size of area getting tattooed and subject matter is different. Amount of detail, size of the pieces, and time spent on the tattoo all play a major role in price. The flat rate appointments allow you to tackle your project based on what works best with your schedule, pain threshold, budget, etc. Please keep in mind sleeves are a marathon and not a sprint. As we work through your sleeve / After the first several appointments Sunny can better gauge the number of remaining sessions you will need.

Do you do tattoos with color?

currently, no. On a rare case by case basis will Sunny will allow color to be added to a project. If approved its within a 90% black and grey to 5-10% color ration. From time to time Sunny will offer up pre made designs in color. This is the only way to obtain a full color piece by her. To see available designs head to her instagram: SunseriArt.

What styles do you tattoo?

Sunny specializes in black and grey realism and does not take on any other style of tattoos.

When will I receive a drawing/ see a design before my appointment?

Designs will be shown the day of the first appointment and no sooner. Please refer to the policy page for more information on the design process and re-draws if the design is not approved by the client.

When will you get back to my email?

Do you tattoo minors?

I do not, you must be 18.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

-Form of ID

-Form of payment (currently accepting Cash, Credit/Debit)

-Food/drink if needed for duration of appointment

-Due to covid friends/family/visitors are not allowed to accompany you to your appointment.

I sent you a message on Instagram/Facebook why haven’t I heard back from you?

Due to a high volume of messages, Sunny only answers tattoo related questions via inquiry forms. DM’s and Facebook messages get lost in the mix and are easily forgotten.

Please understand that Sunny does not spend a lot of time on social media between work and personal choice. To stay organized she refers everyone to the website for tattoo inquiries and booking. Receiving and trying to keep track of everyone’s messages on Facebook, Instagram, voicemail, text, etc can be very overwhelming. Keeping work and her personal life separate is important to maintaining creativity and a healthy balance.

Do you do coverups/reworks?

Yes! Please send an inquiry form along with a good photo of the tattoo you wish to cover.

Can I bring or use my own design?

Unfortunately no. Sunny will not take on any project in which she cannot create a custom piece for the client. She will also not copy exact tattoo layouts other tattoo artist have done, they can only be used as reference inspiration for the clients idea.

How do I take care of my tattoo while it is healing?

For ointment aloe Vera (99% aloe, withl no alcohol or green dye added) is the top recommendation. Any natural based ointment and not petroleum based ointments also work. Light coats should be applied 2-3 times a day and rubbed in all the way so that the tattoo does not look shiny or glossy.

Clean tattoo with non scented/ antibacterial soap. Do not overwash/ wash several times daily, as you will dry out the skin and strip it of the moisture your body naturally produces to heal wounds. Keep tattoo clean , wash as you would normally anytime you shower.

Do not cover or wrap your tattoo, unless using saniderm, tagiderm etc. Otherwise let the tattoo breath

Do not pick, scratch, scuff, scrape tattoo.

Protect from sun in the hot months

No swimming or submerging tattoo in water for long periods of time for atleast 5 days.

For more extensive aftercare or any questions regarding healing please email/ include a phone # so Sunny can give you a call!
